Conductive Thermoplastic Graphene/PLA Pellets, a material by Graphene 3D Lab, is specifically designed to allow you to develop electrically conductive components by injection molding and other production techniques. The pellets are a graphene-enhanced PLA-based material for use at room temperature and exceed the conductivity requirements for a host of applications.
Conductive thermoplastic (plastic which can be easily molded when heated to a certain temperature) material is widely sought by industry for electromagnetic and radio-frequency shielding, static-dissipation, and anti-static applications; our pellets are far more conductive than required for anti-static and static dissipation, and easily reach the conductivity required for electromagnetic and radio-frequency shielding with a volume resistivity of 1 ohm-cm.
Our conductive thermoplastic, which is significantly more conductive than comparable carbon-based plastics currently on the market, maintains several significant advantages over metals and surfactant coatings; namely, they are usually lighter, allow for easier handling, fabrication tends to be less expensive by eliminating secondary processes, are corrosion resistant, and they are usually inexpensive to ship.
Properties:
- Volume Resistivity: 1 ohm-cm
- Thermal Conductivity: 0.28 W/(m⋅K)
- Carbon Content: 16%
- Pellet Diameter: 1.5 - 2.0 mm
- Processing Temperature: 180-190 degrees Celsius
- Quantity: 0.5kg
- Sold in pelletized form
Biodegradable
Our graphene-enhanced thermoplastic pellets are vacuum sealed and shipped with desiccant packs. Limiting exposure to water vapors will enhance processability. If, however, the pellets are is exposed to moisture, simply dry at 60 degrees Celsius overnight before processing.
Conductive Thermoplastic Graphene/PLA Pellets are polylactic acid (PLA) based. PLA is a thermoplastic which is biodegradable and derived from renewable resources, such as corn starch.
Applications:
- EMI/RF Shielding is used in a wide range of industries and applications, including:
- Telecommunications
- Hospital equipment
- Medical devices
- Enclosures and Packaging
- Automotive and Aerospace
- May also be used for vibrational damping and electrical grounding.
Note: Decomposition occurs at 205 degrees Celsius. Do not overheat material. Graphene 3D Lab recommends processing no more than five times.
Do not expose to chlorinated solvents such as chloroform and dichloromethane. Exposure to water, acetone, and ethanol are acceptable for several days, but do not leave soaking for an extended time.
